Assassin’s Creed Titan Comics to Feature the Phoenix Project Story

Assassin's Creed may not have a game this year or possibly even next year. But that doesn't mean there won't be some franchise extension coming.

Titan Comics has just confirmed with CBR that Dan Watters and Alex Paknadel will team up to launch an Assassin's Creed ongoing series that will bundle both the Assassin's and Templars series into one Assassin's Creed work. Jose Holder will also be part of the team as the video game storyboard artist.

The series will detail the Phoenix Project storyline, so it will be seeing several familiar faces from the Assassin's Creed franchise. These will include the likes of Galina Voronina, Juhani Otso Berg, Arend Schut, and Kiyoshi Takakura joining in Charlotte De La Cruz and Black Cross of the ongoing two comics.

"In the first arc, tensions are running high for both the Brotherhood and the Templar Order. A nefarious new world order is on the horizon and only a united team of Assassin's have the knowledge and skill to save humanity from subjugation."

The cover for the first issue will feature variants from different artists, including Alex Ronald, Sunsetagain, Jimbo Salgado, and Holder.

Assassin's Creed #1 will be out on February 2017. If you can't wait for more Assassin's Creed, there's also the movie starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, coming to theaters this December, just a few days shy of Christmas.

Read: Green Lanternswriter is now exclusively signed with DC.

The Walking Dead comics may have a different ending from the series.
