Assassin’s Creed Remake Is Rumored To Be In Development

A new rumor has surfaced online suggesting that a remake of the original Assassin’s Creed game is set to launch at some point next year. However, this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about Ubisoft working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed. Earlier this year, it seemed like Ubisoft might have been the one teasing that the Assassin’s Creed franchise could be getting a new version after all these years. However, all these rumors still remain to be seen if they will be accurate.

The new rumor came from a YouTuber by the name of j0nathan. According to him, Ubisoft is planning to release a remake of the Assassin’s Creed game as part of the upcoming Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is said to be the next game for the franchise. Mirage will supposedly be released at some point in early 2023 and will be followed by a DLC which will take place in Constantinople. In addition, the remake of the Assassin’s Creed game will arrive after the launch of Mirage.

Although it is still hard to know if this rumor is credible, it is worth noting that Ubisoft has done something similar in the past. When Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was released, Ubisoft made a remastered version of the Assassin’s Creed 3 game as part of that game’s Season Pass. With this in mind, it sounds plausible that Ubisoft will do the same thing again with Mirage.

Until we hear any news or announcements from Ubisoft directly, it is worth noting that this new rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. Even though it seems possible for a remake of the Assassin’s Creed game to come out after 15 years, we don’t know if this is happening until Ubisoft decides to reveal information. Fortunately, a new event this September is centered around Assassin’s Creed, so it shouldn’t take much longer for us to know whether this rumor is accurate.
