Artgerm Celebrates the Release of Final Fantasy VII Remake with These Gorgeous Sketches

Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available for everyone to buy and though it's a bittersweet experience, it's still a fantastic game with a great combat system and has some of the best characterizations we've seen in a modern Final Fantasy. Pretty much everyone loves the game, despite the fact that it doesn't have a "complete" story but gamers have enjoyed what they played.

One of those fans is renowned artist Artgerm, who decided to celebrate the game's release by drawing some Final Fantastic sketches.

Artgerm draws some great fictional women, so it's no surprise that his sketches of Tifa and Aerith look great. The artist has drawn some good-looking dudes too and his Cloud Strike looks great so there are no complaints there. It's not just the top three characters he pays tribute to since he also decided to draw Jessie, who is a much more interesting (and thirsty) character now.

It's good to see the game get more love again, though Final Fantasy VII was never really unpopular with fans. The game has stood the test of time and has even gotten a number of spin-off titles, like the excellent PSP-exclusive Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. No joke, you still can't get it on a PS Vita and that makes this Vita-owning writer sad.

Currently, no release date for the future parts has been revealed and we still don't know what their full plans are. Most of us are expecting new games that will cost the usual $60 but a bunch of us would love it if the other parts were released as DLC, though we imagine that will take up a bunch of space.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available on the PS4. Check it out when you can, preferably from the PSN store.
