Arrested Rebellion: Ron Howard Narration Of Star Wars Calls Out On Han Solo’s Bluffs

There was a lot of commotion when Lucasfilm announced that it had decided to can original Han Solo directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller last month and while the spinoff’s production has managed to stabilize under the lead of its new director Ron Howard, it seems like the internet can’t let go of the Star Wars- Arrested Development jokes.

The people over at Nerdist have been mixing Star Wars and Arrested Development together, creating Arrested Rebellion, a Star Wars video narrated by Howard. For those who don’t get the joke, Howard used to do the narration for Arrested Development, and it seems like fans have been giving the Han Solo spinoff the comedic narrative treatment.

Check it out down here:

A short three-minute video, Nerdist’s Arrested Development narration calls out on Han’s lies, makes fun of the bit about the millennium falcon running the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs and highlights the incestuous little fling between Luke and Leia.

Though the channel’s video seems to be trying for an episode, it feels like it might have been better if the guys at Nerdist shaped it into a trailer instead. Some of the beats seem a bit off, though we have to say that most of the jokes deserve a hearty chuckle. We love how the “next season” of Arrested Rebellion leaks out its biggest spoiler so nonchalantly.

Han Solo is scheduled to premiere on May 25, 2018.
