Arnold Schwarzenegger infamously played Mr. Freeze in Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin, and the role is remembered to be one of the worst casting choices in pop-culture. Mr. Schwarzenegger, however, is still pretty positive about the whole Batman universe, and is still pretty open to returning to the world if given a chance.
Talking to Fandango, Schwarzenegger said:
"Absolutely! I think all of those movies, if they're written well, they're entertaining. If it's Batman or Batman and Robin, or X-Men or Spider-Man – all of them. If they're written well, they have a great life. People enjoy them, and you can see the grosses that they make worldwide. So, yes, of course I would."
Even if nobody liked Schwarzenegger's performance in Batman and Robin, it really wasn't entirely his fault that the movie was terrible. In fact, if they ever do decide to cast him in the DC Cinematic Universe, I think he would make a great Solomon Grundy; huge body with not much lines to say? Bring in the Ahnuld!
After a stint at working as governor for California, Schwarzenegger is slowly coming back to the world of movies, what with roles in The Expendables franchise and Terminator Genysis. I think he's a pretty lovable guy, and I'd want to see what they could do with him if they brought him in a Batman movie.
