Predator fans would have been happy to see the original film's lead star, Arnold Schwarznegge, make a return in Shane Black's The Predator, however it seems like no one's going to get a Predator cameo out of the legendary action star and Hollywood icon.
Speaking in an interview with Yahoo! Movies Schwarzengger reveals that he was more than willing to return to The Predator franchise, however it seems like Black didn't give the story a role that would suit him well.
"They asked me, and I read it, and I didn't like it — whatever they offered. So I'm not going to do that, no. Except if there's a chance that they rewrite it, or make it a more significant role. But the way it is now, no, I won't do that."
When asked about the cameo negotiations online, Black responded:
Schwarzenegger has expressed a lot enthusiasm making a return to Terminator, so this reluctance to appear in The Predator may turn out to be a large disappointment for fans. It would have been exciting to see Major Alan Schaefer make a big and bold return to the big screen in the upcoming Predator installment.
The Predator comes hunting in cinemas on Feb. 9, 2018.
