Armored Mewtwo is Coming to Pokemon GO Next Week

The Pokemon Company knows that fans are hyped up for Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution, a CGI remake of the franchise's very first film. It seems like there will be a lot of cool promotional items to hype up the film's release but this might be the best one yet; Armored Mewtwo coming to Pokemon GO.

Considering how Armored Mewtwo isn't playable in any video game - not even Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or Pokken Tournament DX - the fact that fans will be able to battle the enhanced legendary in Pokemon GO Raid Battles is great. Plus, players will be given the chance to catch the fabled Pokemon in armor, which means this could be the first time fans will have two of this Pokemon in their party.

Since this is coming to an international mobile game, it seems like Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution will be eventually be released outside of Japan. Pretty much every Pokemon film has gotten a worldwide release so it's safe to assume that this will get one as well. At the least, the inclusion of Armored Mewtwo in Niantic's popular mobile game is a nice bit of fanservice.

Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution will be coming out in Japan this month. Armored Mewtwo will be coming to Pokemon GO on July 10 and will be available until July 28.
