As a reverse-birthday gift, Justice League director Zack Snyder gave fans a glimpse of how Aquaman's underwater world will look like. It was glorious, to say the least, with the CGI-everything looking as lush and underwater-real as possible, a far cry from how Doomsday doomed the effects in Batman v Superman.
Now, Aquaman director is hinting that the above-the-sea world where Arthur Curry will showcase his Atlantean powers will look just as good. Over his official Instagram, James Wan teased four shoot locations that the team is currently scouting.
Wan did not do any hashtag locations, but even before, fans know that Aquaman is set to shoot in two areas, Australia and Italy. Both have seaside ‘scapes, but the look of the could be pointing to Queensland.
There are still two months before the previously reported start date of filming for Aquaman arrives. Both Jason Momoa and Amber Heard, the King and Queen of Atlantis, are already hard at work training.
As for expected villain Patrick Wilson, who will portray Ocean Master a.k.a. Orm, he might have been the other character we've seen in the short footage of the underwater world. If so, that costume is just insane.
Aquaman will swim to theaters on Oct. 5.
