Aquaman’s Cinematographer Named

Of all the upcoming DC films, only Aquaman seems to be seeing a high time in terms of progress with its production. Another name has been added to the production crew, and it's someone who's pretty close to director James Wan's heart—even if he jokes a bit on his Twitter.

A new tweet from Wan names Don Burgess as "some upcoming kid I gave a break to on Conjuring 2," referring to the time that they worked together on the hell of a creepy movie.

The tweet is also a response to a fan query on who the cinematographer would be for Aquaman.

For those who are not familiar, Burgess is more than just "some kid," seeing as how he has already done quite a lot in his career as cinematographer. He has also been credited in other movies including Enchanted, The Muppets, Monster Trucks, 13 Going 30, Aliens in the Attic, and The Book of Eli, among others. Of course, there are also those who would remember his work in Forrest Gump, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, and Cast Away.

Considering the very long list of his body of work, I'm pretty sure he would do a lot o good for Aquaman. Not that the movie is in any danger, as it would seem from the cast and crew. Both Jason Momoa and Amber Heard, the King and Queen of Atlantis, are already hard at work training for their respective roles. It's probably one of the few DC films I'm actually intensely looking forward to still.

Aquaman will be out in theaters on Oct. 5, 2018.
