Amber Heard is certainly working hard to prove to DC fans that she's the best woman to play the part of the Atlantean Queen, Mera.
A few days after Warner Bros. decided to roll out the exciting new trailer for Justice League last month, Amber Heard went ahead and shared a photo of her training hard for her next appearance in Jason Mamoa's solo film, Aquaman. Then, a few weeks after, the Hollywood actress decided to share a short video of her training regimen on Instagram.
Now, after proving that her body's equipped for the role, the Pineapple Express star has decided to share some of the comic books that she's been reading to prepare for her role as Aquaman's Queen. Check out her reading list down here:
Some have speculated that while the comics could simply be Warner Bros. packet to help Heard learn more about Mera, the collection could also be indicators of the story to be tackled in the DC Expanded Universe's upcoming Aquaman. Though the Rebirth comics might be too recent to be integrated in to the movie, it's likely that DC would mix in a few details to add to their cinematic version of Arthur Curry.
However, even if none of these comic book stories do get integrated in into next year's Aquaman, it certainly is lovely to see Heard reading up on the comics. Everybody likes an actor or actress who genuinely understands their character.
Aquaman comes swimming into cinemas on December 21, 2018.
