Principal photography on Aquaman may have come to an end, however it seems like the film's wrap up party didn't close as well as everyone expected.
Word broke out earlier today that an Aquaman crew member was stabbed right after the production celebrated its wrap up party in Canada after filming in Newfoundland and Labrador last week.
According to a report by CBC News, the crew person was attacked from behind, stabbed by a knife after by a young, confrontational assailant. The victim was conversing with a few women outside the Greensleeves Irish Pub on George Street when the assailant approached him, taking a confrontational tone. The young man eventually moved on after calming down, only to return later in the evening to pick up a fight.
The Aquaman crewmember was then attacked from behind by another young man with a knife, and though he was taken to the hospital and released, the victim still feels shaken up.
The crewperson wasn't the only one who was injured in the attack. Three bystanders who had tried to help the victim and subdue the assailant were injured in the process. The attacker fled the scene before the police could arrive, however he was arrested a few days after the incident.
It's such a shame that a celebration should be tainted by terrible news. Hopefully things will settle down soon.
Aquaman hits cinemas December 21, 2018.
