Anthony Mackie Says He’s Now Cool With Tom Holland After Working On Avengers: Infinity War

While the Earth's Mightiest Heroes are going to have to set aside their differences and work together to beat Thanos and the Black Order in Avengers: Infinity War, it seems like the Marvel crossover has been working to do the same for the cast behind the scenes.

Anthony Mackie just recently sat down for an interview with Good Morning America and during their discussion, the Falcon star was asked about the status of his little fight with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland. The two had a feud working on Captain America: Civil War, however, ever since they come together to work on Infinity War and Avengers 4 Holland and Mackie have become a lot friendlier.

"We're cool now," Mackie told the TV show's hosts. "He's (Holland) been cut down a size"

According to Mackie, his jabs at Holland weren't to intimidate the younger Marvel star, but instead to help keep Holland in place and keep him from getting too big of an ego.

"It was a problem," Mackie added. "I mean, you get Spider-Man... he's like seventeen years old, he gets cast as Spider-Man. His head went through the roof. You know, he was Billy Elliot, man. Who else can say that? You know, he went through a tights phase and made it out on the other side. No other brother can say that!"

It's pretty easy to get a little bit big in the head when you become one of the planet's biggest stars at such a young age, so it's great to hear that Mackie was there to help keep Holland grounded. After all, friends have to look out for each other, on and off screen.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
