Anthony Mackie Needs Chris Evans To Return In Falcon And The Winter Soldier

Avengers: Endgame might have given Captain America (Chris Evans) a pretty nice ending by allowing him to go back in time to live the rest of his life with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), but it looks like his Marvel co-star, Anthony Mackie, wants to have Steve Rogers return in his upcoming series, Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Speaking in an interview with IMDb, Falcon star Anthony Mackie decided to talk about his upcoming Disney+ series. The actor was asked a few questions about the show, including one that asked what was the best part working on an Avengers spinoff without his Captain America: Civil War co-star, Chris Evans.

"You get to sleep. You get a lot of downtime," Mackie told the site, "No, there is no good part about it. I've said it before and I'll say it a thousand times, Chris is one of my closest friends. And when the three of us get together, it's hell and anarchy. So hopefully we'll have him around to cause some trouble on set."

While it might seem a bit unlikely for Captain America to appear in Falcon and the Winter Soldier considering how Endgame came to an end, we could still see Steve Rogers in the series through a few flashbacks. And who knows, Marvel might even bring Cap back as an old man. It'd be interesting to see what kind of fighting skills Steve might have now that he's significantly older.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to stream on Disney+ in the fall of 2020.
