'Ant-Man and The Wasp' Will Be A Weirder Movie, Says Peyton Reed

Director Peyton Reed is already developing the Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is the sequel to the first film that was released earlier this year.

Speaking to Newsarama, director Peyton Reed said that they've just began the writing process. He then talked about the sequel and said that it will be a weirder film.

"The goal is to keep what we really liked for the characters in the first one, but to make it a much weirder movie."

This year's Ant-Man was probably the weirdest Marvel film I've seen, so it would be exciting to see how Peyton and the crew will make it weirder. He also said that the sequel will explore the relationship between Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp:

"Part of thing that we're going to explore, as shown in the comics, is how [the Ant-Man and Wasp] are such a great duo and partnership. Part of that, in any partnership, is how they relate to each other as people. Where will their personal relationship be at that point, and what will be their fighting style together?"

With the concepts and characters already introduced in the first film, it would be interesting to see how they will develop in the sequel. Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released in theaters on July 6, 2018.
