It seems that Game of Thrones stars can't help but share some potential good news in the form of teasers for fans as its new season draws closer.
The latest one to give fans a possible preview is Carice van Houten, who plays the role of the Red Woman Melisandre. The last time we saw Melisandre in Game of Thrones, she was riding away to the south of Winterfell, having been banished by Jon Snow for her crime of infanticide with Shireen.
But it looks like that is not the last we've seen of her. Van Houten teased via her Twitter an image of herself in make-up that revealed the Red Woman's true form: the freaky old lady.
As her caption comments, it was indeed one of the best make-up sessions, as she was truly transformed from the beautiful woman to a withering old woman.
Of course, fans have already seen this form before when she took off her necklace to disperse the illusion. What exactly her role in Game of Thrones season seven remains to be seen. Is she going to be using her powers to exact revenge upon those who banished her? Or will she be doing the will of the Lord of the Light in some way?
Game of Thrones will be back on HBO on July 16.
