Venom 2 doesn't have a release date yet, which is a shame since fans are pretty pumped to see another symbiote-filled adventure with Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock. We haven't seen any footage from the movie yet, though numerous details have been revealed, like Carnage being the main baddie and Andy Serkis directing the sequel. Serkis was recently interviewed by Digital Spy about the movie and he gave a small update, not wanting to spoil anything yet.

Serkis admitted that he's giving everyone a boring non-answer but that's just the nature of show business and we can't blame him for that. He does mention how they are 40 days into shooting and is excited to see where the movie goes. The director also mentions Eddie Brock's relationship with the symbiote and a "nemesis character" who is obviously Carnage but Serkis just won't spoil it.

"Well, you know, I really can't talk too much about it – I know, boring – but we're 40 days into the shoot and it's really thrilling. We've got the magnificent Tom Hardy, who's obviously at the centre of it and we sort of see a deepening of the relationship between him and obviously there's a nemesis character and... that's all I can say."

You have to feel for any director working on a franchise film since they can only talk about how much "bigger" and more "emotional" movies can be. Serkis mostly says that about Venom 2 but we're sure he'll be able to divulge more information once a trailer or image comes out.
