Meanwhile, Ryan was recently announced to have a new TV project under Apple TV+. She will lead the new show, Sugar, opposite Colin Farrell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

Though there are no known details about the new series yet, Flickering Myth revealed it’s described as “a genre-bending contemporary take on the private detective story set in Los Angeles.”

Sugar is written by Mike Protosevich, while Farrell will also serve as an executive producer with Fernando Meirelles, Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon, Scott Greenberg, and Chip Vucelich. Meirelles will also direct the series.

This will be the first time Ryan, Farrell, and Howell-Baptiste will return to the detective mystery genre. Ryan was part of The Wire, Gone Baby Gone while Farrell starred in True Detective Season 2, and Howell-Baptiste was part of Veronica Mars.
