AMC Adds Late-Night Screenings Of Star Wars: The Last Jedi

It looks like Star Wars fans have the chance of watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi late at night thanks to AMC.

According to Variety, AMC's nationwide cinema chain has decided to schedule 2 am showings for Star Wars: The Last Jedi's premiere because of the high demand for tickets during the film's release. It doesn't come as a surprise seeing how Star Wars sequel trilogy installment is one of the most highly anticipated film releases of the year.

AMC also did the same thing for The Force Awakens, understanding the heavy demand for screenings during the very premiere of every new Star Wars installment. While some might say that AMC's trying to milk the film's premiere, Star Wars fans who missed the chance of getting their tickets early are going to be glad to hear that AMC has late night screenings waiting for them.

We're not sure whether AMC's 2 am screenings are going to have a heavy affect on the film's opening weekend numbers, but we're sure that they're definitely going to add to the ticket sales of the film. The Last Jedi is currently tracking at $200 million at the domestic box office, but we're hoping for a lot more for The Force Awakens sequel.

The Last Jedi hits cinemas in the US this Friday, December 15, 2017.
