Amazon Orders New Series From Blade Runner Author With Bryan Cranston As Producer

Influential science fiction story writer Philip K. Dick and Star Trek writer-producer Ronald D. Moore are collaborating on a new science fiction anthology series by Amazon.

Titled Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams, Tracking Board reports that Amazon has asked for ten episodes for the anthology series with Moore as one of the show's executive producers along with Michael Dinner and Bryan Cranston.

Cranston who is mostly known as an award-winning Breaking Bad star will also appear in one of the episodes of the series which is to be written by both Dinner and Moore. Each episode in the series will feature a stan-alone plot based on Dick's shorts.

For those who aren't aware, older works by Dick have been adapted into popular film projects like Minority Report, Total Recall and the classic film Blade Runner. Given Dick's reputation, it seems like science fiction enthusiasts are going to get a great new series from Amazon. There's no information from Amazon or Sony Pictures just yet, so keep posted for more details on Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams.
