Amazing Spider-Man #800 Brings Back The Black Suit

Amazing Spider-Man #800 is going to be huge and we aren't just talking about the page count. We knew that this would be the penultimate issue of Dan Slott's run on the character but Marvel has decided to unveil something else about the issue; Peter Parker will once again don his black suit.

It won't just be a temporary thing either, as it was confirmed that the black suit will stay on when Nick Spencer and Ryan Ottley take over the book. Considering how their first issue advertised the classic red and blue outfit, this is quite the shocking revelation.

Revealed during Marvel's retailer-only panel in C2E2, preview pages of Spider-Man back in black were also released (via Newsarama). It seems like Peter will be teaming up with Flash Thompson, who is now Agent Anti-Venom, to take down the Red Goblin.

Flash became Anti-Venom during the Venom Inc. crossover, so it's good seeing him stick around and help Spidey out for this battle. While it's not yet clear if Peter's black suit is the actual symbiote or just his old cloth version of the costume, it's worth noting that the symbiote just bonded with the character during Cullen Bunn's Venomized mini-series.

Only time will tell if that lead to Peter having the suit for his battle against the Red Goblin.

Amazing Spider-Man #800 comes out this May.
