Alita: Battle Angel Opens Casting Calls in Texas

Alita: Battle Angel has started shooting in Austin, Texas and is now putting out a casting call, Project Casting reports. The live-action film is based off the manga Battle Angel Alita. It is being directed by Robert Rodriguez whose work includes Sin City and Spy Kids.

Alita: Battle Angel is set in the 26th century. It follows a female cyborg who is found in a trash heap by a scientist. Alita has no memories of her previous life and becomes a bounty hunter.

The Austin, Texas casting call is specifically seeking those with a "goth look" who haven't applied to the movie before. Anyone who is cast will be working as an extra, rather than a main role. The casting is open to all ages and races as the movie wants to portray multiple cultures.

Those who apply must be willing to work night shoots. Filming can be from 6 pm to 6 am or even 10 pm to 10 am. Filming can take either one day or several days depending on the scene. Visit here to find out how to apply.

Alita: Battle Angel is set to come out July 20, 2018.

I'm pretty skeptical this movie will be any good, but I hope it's a good experience for the extras. What about you? Are you looking forward to the movie? Would you like to be an extra?
