Star Wars fans might have been a bit skeptical of another actor taking on Han Solo's role for Solo: A Star Wars Story, but everyone soon warmed up to Alden Ehrenreich's version of the character after seeing the Hail Caesar! actor play the iconic smuggler in the Star Wars spin-off's previews.

Ehrenreich might not look exactly like Harrison Ford, but he works hard, and the actor's also gotten advice from the Star Wars legend himself.

Back in 2017, Ford and Ehrenreich were snapped having lunch together somewhere in Los Angeles, and in a recent interview with Empire Magazine (via Express), the Solo star talks about the advice that he's been given by the Star Wars actor.

"He said, ‘If they ask, tell them I told you everything you need to know and that you can't tell anyone anything," Ehrenreich told the publication.

Ford's always had a cynical sense of humor. In an interview back in March, the Star Wars legend was asked what he felt about handing the Star Wars franchise to younger actors like John Boyega. Ford, classic grump that he is, told the interviewers that he was just there in The Force Awakens "to die."

"I didn't really give a rats ass who got my sword," Ford said.

On screen, Ford's version of Han had some sort of cynicism, throwing out hilariously skeptical lines in the original trilogy. However, fans are going to see a more hopeful version of Han in Solo: A Star Wars Story, meeting the smuggler during his early days traversing the Empire's underbelly in Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away.

Solo: A Star Wars Story premieres May 25 this year.
