Ailing Deadpool Fan Gets Epic Surprise from Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds may have played the profane and extremely violent Merc with a Mouth in Deadpool, but he's far from the murdering mercenary in real life. Case in point, the 39-year-old actor recently gave a sick Deadpool fan one of the best gifts a fanatic could receive.

Young Canadian Connor McGrath, a fan of the comic book character, is currently battling High-Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Because Reynolds is such a cool guy, Connor became one of the first people on Earth to see Deadpool first.

Reynolds took to his Facebook page and shared his solid experience with Connor. He said that he personally went to Alberta, Edmonton to show the kid the film.

Right now, there isn't any positive news about Connor's disease, which seems to be only progressing despite its continued treatment. But with Reynolds' surprise, Connor could have finally gotten the positive news that he needs. Connor and his family needs to raise $800,000 to continue his treatment. Right now, they already have $100,000. Hopefully, with Reynolds getting in the picture, Connor and his family would soon meet their target.

For some people, we may have seen Deadpool as a funny and entertaining film, but for Connor, it's a source of inspiration to never give up on his disease.

Deadpool is still in theaters, and from the looks of it, the box office hit could very well stay there for a few more weeks.
