Adam Driver Was Apparently ‘Uncommonly Intense’ On The Set Of Star Wars: The Last Jedi

One of the more memorable characters in The Force Awakens was Adam Driver's hot-tempered and passionate Kylo Ren. As it turns out, Driver himself was considered very "intense" on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and all the other actors seem to agree.

Vanity Fair reporter David Kamp held an AMA on Reddit, and when asked about Kylo Ren, he answered:

"One leitmotif is that everyone who is not Adam Driver says that Adam Driver is uncommonly intense on set. He's really all-in on becoming Kylo Ren. John Boyega told me that he likes to try to break the Kylo spell by running up to Driver and giving him unexpected hugs. But evidently, it doesn't shake Driver."

It's just hilarious imagining Finn walking over and surprise-hugging an angry Kylo who won't budge.

A lot of fans will agree that Kylo Ren came as sort of a surprise in The Force Awakens since, unlike Darth Vader who is often cool and composed, Kylo is very prone to tantrums and is constantly on edge. A lot of fans have seen this as some sort of reverse-Luke Skywalker journey where, instead of being afraid of being pulled to the Dark Side, Kylo is trying to pull away from the Light.

Granted, everyone is very excited to see what Kylo has to bring to the stage in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The young Knight of Ren is said to be at some sort of crossroads after his murder of Han Solo, and his character is said to be in a struggle after killing his own father.

We'll just have to wait and see what Kylo does when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters Dec. 15.
