Activision Officially Announces Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

After numerous reports, Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and it will be coming out this year, on October 12. The latest entry of the Black Ops the sub-franchise is going to be developed by Treyarch and will be coming out on the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

Unfortunately, the publisher didn't reveal much about the game aside from the official logo and release date. Oddly enough, the shooter has been billed as Call of Duty: Black OpsIIII, which is not how Roman numerals work. It doesn't matter how the game is meant to be spelled, what's important is more news about the shooter. Activision will reveal more details about the game on May 17, so mark your calendars.

While Activision has been vague about the game's features, fans can probably expect a mode with zombies and a ton of multiplayer maps. It will likely have a single-player campaign, which should be fun enough on its own if previous installments are any indication.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 comes out on October 12. Expect more coverage for the game soon.
