A New Mass Effect Novel By A Hugo Award-Winning Author is Coming

BioWare has announced an upcoming novel titled Mass Effect: Annhilation, which will build up the story of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The announcement, made on BioWare's official blog, revealed that the tie-in novel is written by Hugo Award-winning author Catherynne M. Valente, and tells the story of Keelah Si'yah's journey to Andromeda as it transports 20,000 batarian, drell, quarrian, and elcor colonists.

BioWare provided a brief synopsis for the novel: "A pathogen is discovered aboard the ark after many drell are found dead in their cryo pods. As the pathogen jumps species, the ship's systems begin to fail, making it clear this is no accident."

Mass Effect: Annhilation will be released in US, UK, and Canada on June 26, 2018. It will be released in Australia a couple months later.
