The official spoiler season for Magic: The Gathering'sDominaria set continues today. Wizards of the Coast just revealed four new cards from the upcoming Magic set: Danitha Capashen, Triumph of Gerrard, Wizard's Retort, and Wizard's Lightning.

Check them out:

Danitha Capashen, Paragon

Dominaria will feature many legendary spells like this one, and it looks like this one has great potential for the new format called Brawl. The art illustrated by Chris Rallis was one of the five artworks first revealed for Dominaria. It's hard to see a Legendary creature in Uncommon rarity these days.

Triumph of Gerrard

Here's another Saga Enchantment card might see play in aggressive white decks in Standard. Its first two Chapter abilities also synergize well with Winding Constrictor's ability to add additional +1+1 counters everytime a permanent gets one.

Wizard's Retort

Dominaria aims to bring back the nostalgia from the old days but of course, they won't reprint two-mana Counterspells or one-mana Lightning Bolts. This one is a nice alternative that rewards players who control a Wizard in play. Baral, Chief of Compliance come to mind for this particular card. Overall, I think Disallow is still better but I guess it depends if Dominaria will release powerful wizard creatures.

Wizard's Lightning

Here's the latest burn spell that could cost only 1 mana just like the classic Lightning Bolt if you control a Wizard in play. As you can see, the card uses the new wording "to any target" instead of "target creature or player".
