10 Awesome New X-Men: Apocalypse International Character Posters Released

A new series of X-Men: Apocalypse posters have been released, providing audiences a closer look at the ensemble cast.

Released via MovieFilms, the new international character posters give quite stunning close-ups of the film's cast of mutants including Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), and Alexandra Shipp (Storm).

Earlier this week, another set of posters were also released featuring the Apocalypse's (Oscar Isaac) Four Horsemen.

Is it just me or are they not releasing enough stuff showing Apocalypse? Other promotional materials have so far featured mutants except for our titular supervillain. It makes me wonder whether they're saving the best for last.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
