Kafka Hibino Turns Into Kaiju No. 8 and Everything Changes
A bug-like Kaiju, also known as the flying unidentified Kaiju, has chosen Kafka as its host, immediately transforming his heart and body into that of a Kaiju's.
Since then, Kafka has been able to transform into a Kaiju with enhanced skills, abilities, and reflexes, unlike ordinary Kaiju, Yonju, or Honju.
It’s bad for Kafka to reveal this side of him to the Defense Force, since there's a huge chance the Third Division will execute him right away or give him over to headquarters for experimentation and observation.
However, the bug-like Kaiju that lives inside Kafka has the potential to affect his psyche, turning him into a ticking bomb.
It is unclear why the bug-like Kaiju chose Kafka among others, but there are several theories that imply Kafka's inability to unleash combat prowess at his age could be the reason.

Will Kafka Ever Become Normal Again in Kaiju No. 8? Predictions
As of chapter 106 of the Kaiju No. 8 manga, Kafka Hibino is still fighting as Kaiju No. 8 in the series.
In fact, he is in the middle of fighting Kaiju No. 9, who’s terrorizing the city with his destructive abilities.
With this, many are wondering about Kafka’s future, especially his chance to live a normal life again.
We know that he wants to wipe out all the Kaiju in the world, but does that mean he has to die as well, given his Kaiju side?
Fans are hopeful that Kafka will be able to become normal again if the bug-like Kaiju residing inside him dies for his sake instead.
It’s possible that the bug-like Kaiju would leave or die in the process, but for now, nothing has been confirmed.
