Will you live in a world where Kaiju walks the earth? Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro are dreaming of a world without Kaiju, but why are there Kaiju in Kaiju No. 8 in the first place? Where did they come from? Here are some theories and predictions.

Kaiju Terrorize Humanity in Kaiju No. 8

In Kaiju No. 8, Kaiju, otherwise known as monsters, exist to terrorize humanity and the world.

They come in a variety of shapes and sizes; some resemble bugs, dragons, animals, and plants but have a more terrifying appearance.

They are everyone's worst nightmares come true, and they feed on living things, mainly humans, for whatever reason.

They do not make an announcement about their appearance, making them more harmful to humanity and the town or city in which they inhabit.

In fact, a Kaiju ravaged Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro's hometown, leaving them isolated in the world. Their experience, however, inspired them to eliminate every Kaiju as much as they could.

Fortunately, there is an Anti-Kaiju Defense Force organization in charge of eliminating these monstrosities. They are armed with weaponry capable of killing the Kaiju, as well as combat suits that enhance their abilities and protect them from instant death.

There are a lot of theories online that talk about the origins of the Kaiju in Kaiju No. 8.

Since Kaiju No. 8 has similarities with Attack on Titan, a lot of fans believe that Kaiju are alien species brought upon by an origin creature that changed how the world works, similar to the spine-like creature that turned Ymir into the first titan.

On the other hand, some argue that the Kaiju are man-made and that by the end of the series, Kafka Hibino will have discovered the source of these ludicrous experiments as well as the individuals involved.

Meanwhile, in chapter 58 of the Kaiju No. 8 manga, Soshiro Hoshina explained that monster breakouts are thought to be caused by the huge energy and distortion created by Earth's faults, which affect nearby plants and animals.

Hoshina and the organization also suspected Kaiju No. 9 was utilizing this phenomenon to create monsters, which explains the dramatic increase in the number of monster cases and varieties in the series.
