In the seventh episode of The Impossible Heir, Han Tae-Oh (played by Lee Jae-Wook) was found guilty of the murder of In-Ju (played by Han Sang-Jin). He also received the capital punishment.

Thankfully, Tae-Oh was able to get on Kang Joong-Mo's (played by Choi Jin-Ho) good side and the chairman helped him escape prison. Once he got out, he devised a plan on how he could remove In-Ha (played by Lee Jun-Young) from Joong-Mo's conglomerate.

While doing this, he was able to recall the events of In-Ju's murder. This was because he was drugged by In-Ju during the event of the murder. When he woke up, he found himself drenched in blood and holding a weapon.

He was then arrested for the murder of In-Ju and Bo-Na. Tae-Oh was also accused of receiving over 470 million worth of Korean Won rebates.

Although Tae-Oh is innocent in The Impossible Heir, he has to prove his innocence by finding evidence that he was framed as In-Ju's murderer.

Since he was drugged on the night of In-Ju's murder, he doesn't have much memory from that night. But in episode 9, Tae-Oh starts to regain his memories.

Tae-Oh realized that In-Ha was responsible for his step-brother's murder. He remembered that Shin Bo-Na (played by Jung Han-Bit) was recording the events of that night. This led Tae-Oh to look for Bo-Na's phone and get hold of the recording.

In episode 10, Tae-Oh found the evidence he was looking for. The recording revealed that Mo Gi-Jun (played by Kwon Hyuk), In-Ju's former assistant and In-Ha's friend, was the criminal.

With this discovery, Tae-Oh went back to the police to turn himself in. Gi-Jun was arrested by Ha Myung-Jin (played by Huh Nam-Jun) for the alleged murder of In-Ju and Bo-Na.

Chu Hyeok-Jin (played by Jang Hyuk-Jin) then tells Tae-Oh that he will be defended by Milton's law firm to prove his innocence.
