Tokyo Godfathers, directed by Satoshi Kon, is a charming anime film about three homeless people: the middle-aged drunkard Gin, the adolescent runaway Miyuki, and the former drag queen Hana, who are all trying to make ends meet as a makeshift family on the streets of Tokyo.

On Christmas Eve, they discover an abandoned baby while rummaging through the trash.

They took the baby in and named her Kiyoko (Pure One) despite having nothing. Then, they embark on a quest to find Kiyoko’s mother, all the while dealing with their inner struggles and pasts.

As they navigate the bustling city of Tokyo, Gin, Miyuki, and Hana’s stories unfold.

Not only do they encounter various characters, but they also face one obstacle after another, as if the God above is testing the strength of their bond.

Will the trio of unlikely individuals be able to find Kiyoko’s mother and have a merry Christmas? Watch Tokyo Godfathers to find out!
