What is Star Wars Celebration 2025? Why Was 2024 Skipped?
Fans across the globe can come together to celebrate the Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Makuhari Messe in Japan, taking place from April 18 to 20, 2025.
However, before getting into that, many fans may have been wondering, what happened to Star Wars Celebration 2024?
At the time, the official Star Wars website announced that Lucasfilm was previously holding a brief hiatus for hosting their annual convention.
Still, they encouraged fans to "work on your cosplay, refine your Wookie roar, and sharpen your lightsaber skills" in anticipation of Star Wars Celebration 2025.

Star Wars Celebration 2025: Japan Presale Ticket Prices Revealed
Lucasfilm has confirmed that the VIP Presale tickets begin on May 1, 2024, at 12:00 PM EST (U.S.).
It is worth mentioning that the only eligible people who can access the 2025 VIP tickets are the VIP ticket purchasers from Star Wars Celebration 2023. They will receive a link via email within 24 hours prior to the presale date.
Fret not for first-time attendees interested in getting their VIP tickets, though. VIP tickets will be available to the general public on May 2, Thursday at 7:00 PM EST (US Time) / May 3, Friday at 8:00 AM JST (Japan Time).
Meanwhile, here are the ticket prices for Star Wars Celebration 2025:
Multi-Day Tickets
- "Jedi Master" ¥140,133 (approx. $887.55, £710.75) valid from April 18-20, 2025
- 3-Day Adult ¥23,808 (approx. $150.77, £120.75) valid from April 18-20, 2025
- 3-Day Kids ¥5,972 (approx. $37.82, £30.29) valid for kids ages 6-12 from April 18-20, 2025 (purchase of an adult ticket is required)
Single Day Tickets
- Friday Adult ¥8,298 (approx. $52.56, £42.09) valid for Friday, April 18, 2025
- Saturday Adult ¥8,298 (approx. $52.56, £42.09) valid for Saturday, April 19, 2025
- Sunday Adult ¥8,298 (approx. $52.56, £42.09) valid for Sunday, April 20, 2025
Keep in mind that the maximum number of tickets per customer is 20, depending on which type of ticket they plan on purchasing.
Jedi Master VIP tickets have a limit of four (4), 3-Day tickets have the same limit of four (4), along with a total of sixteen (16) single-day tickets per order.
