The spring 2024 season has gone off without a hitch so far, until now. That’s because Go Go Loser Ranger episode 5 has been delayed. Thankfully, a new release date was announced.
This marks one of the first major anime delays of the season, as most of spring 2024’s most popular titles have continued to get new episodes weekly.
On the bright side, the cause for the delay is not production issues, meaning this is potentially just a one-off delay and that future episodes won’t get affected.
Go Go Loser Ranger Delayed Due to Unexpected Schedule Conflict
Go Go Loser Ranger is a new anime based on Negi Haruba’s manga. This tokusatsu-inspired series is unexpected for Haruba, given that he is best known for the harem romance anime The Quintessential Quintuplets.
Since the new show by Yostar Pictures (of Arknights fame) premiered on April 7, the series has become fairly popular as it generates lots of weekly discussions on platforms such as Reddit and X (formerly Twitter).
Sadly, things will soon be quiet for the show as its fifth episode is delayed. The delay was announced via the anime’s official X account. There, it was confirmed that a scheduling conflict was the reason for the delay.
To be exact, the show’s fifth episode was supposed to air in Japan on May 5, 2024, though its broadcast has been suspended due to golf coverage.
A golf tournament being the cause of the delay is an unexpected one, though fans on Reddit noted that golf coverage has caused delays for tokusatsu shows – a surprising coincidence given the anime’s story.
Still, while the delay isn’t ideal, it’s better that it’s caused by a scheduling conflict instead of production issues, as was the case back in winter 2023.

Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 5 New Release Date Announced
In Japan, Go Go Loser Ranger episode 5 will be released on May 12, 2024, at 4:30 PM JST. The show will air on 28 TBS-affiliated stations in the country.
The show’s streaming release will also likely be affected by the TV delay, meaning Japanese fans may have to wait until May 12 to watch it on Disney+.
This also likely means a delay for its international streaming release on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in other countries.
