Game of Thrones Fan Created Prequel Film About Stark Family

George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones can be considered as one of the biggest fantasy franchises—so it shouldn’t be a surprise that fan-made projects have been done left and right.

Perhaps one of the most impressive ones is this fan-made film, titled The Wild Wolf, which explores the life of Brandon Stark, Ned’s older brother, Catelyn’s previous betrothed, and all-around hothead but nice guy.

The film is just a little over 15 minutes long, but the intricate detail that went into production is pretty impressive.

The Wild Wolf puts Brandon in the spotlight, the story that happened 15 years before the actual events of Game of Thrones. We see Petyr Baelish challenging him for Catelyn’s hand, but we all know how that story goes.

This is a pretty neat prequel, considering how it was written and produced by film students Shane Gibson and Ciaran McIlhatton. Even more impressive is Gibson, who also portrayed Brandon. Alongside him are Curtis Worell (Littlefinger), Elish Gormle (Catelyn). Jenny Edgar (Lysa Tully), Michael McGarry (Edmure Tully), Jonathan Gilespie (Ethan Glover), Roger Dane (Maester Vyman), and Ryan Lafferty (Raff the Raper).

It’s a great take on Game of Thrones, and the planned prequels for the series may get a nice feel of which stories fans may want to learn more about. Check out the entire 15-minute movie below:
