Watch: What if Thor Ragnarok had an Anime Opening

There’s a lot of things to laugh about with Thor: Ragnarok, but some fan on the internet has found another way to milk the movie for humor. Check out this video from no name Animation where he gives the movie a full anime intro.

It’s funny because the song used here is one from an actual anime. Rising Hope is the intro used for The Irregular at Magic High School. The Thor video isn’t really an attempt at a recreation, but you have to give it props for finding some great ‘anime’ shots within the film. It also shows just how far some Japanese characters can make a shot look so much like it belonged in a series.

For now, it seems that Ragnarok is the last Thor movie, and Chris Hemsworth is set to have is last appearance as the God of Thunder in Avengers 4. We don’t know exactly where his character is going, but I hope that Thor isn’t killed off, but is rather made the new ruler of Asgard. That way, he can play the ‘Odin’ role when it comes to future stories about the Asgardians.

Make it happen, Marvel!

Thor comes flying back to theaters in Avengers 4 which comes out May 3, 2019.
