Though Star Wars fans may have to wait six months more till they finally get to see the next sequel trilogy installment, a lot of excitement and anticipation is building up over The Last Jedi. Last month, Luacasfilm revealed the very first teaser trailer for the sequel to The Force Awakens and ever since then fans have been eagerly waiting for more footage from the studio.

While waiting for the very first official trailer for The Last Jedi, fans have begun making their own versions of the teaser clip and one of them has turned the teaser into a video from 1983. Posted by Screen Crush a few days ago, the video reworks the teaser into something that looks like a VHS clip from 1983.

Check it out here:

Running for a minute and a half on YouTube, Screen Crush’s version of the teaser trailer reminds older fans of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi’s official trailer. The only difference is that the Return of the Jedi trailer has been spliced up with scenes taken from The Last Jedi teaser.  Though the edited teaser may not impress modern audiences, Screen Crush’s work on The Last Jedi video definitely  reminds fans what the older trilogy teasers were like back in its heyday.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas on December  15, 2017.
