Watch The Honest Trailer For Blade Runner Before Catching Blade Runner 2049

A lot of people are excited for the release of Dennis Villenueve’s Blade Runner 2049, and to prepare for the film, Screen Junkies has come up with their harsh critique of the original Blade Runner movie along with its several alternate cuts. Check out the Honest Trailer for Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner.

In 1982, audiences knew Harrison Ford as the charming rogue Han Solo or the charming Rogue Indiana Jones. Now watch him ditch the whole charming act in the grumpiest Harrison Ford performance since anytime he’s forced to promote a movie.

Besides grumpy Harrison Ford, the trailer points out that he actually drinks a lot in the film; what’s more, Blade Runner is probably the origin of all thos “enhance” photo/video scenes that you see in sci-fi movies.

A lot of people (myself included) have admitted that they didn’t really like Blade Runner upon initial viewing, but upon watching it again, there’s no doubt that Ridley Scott is one amazing visual director. Shots for the film are just so rich and colorful, and Villenueve will have to make sure that his sequel will live up to the original.

Blade Runner 2049 comes out this week on Oct. 6.
