Watch The 70s Wonder Woman Intro With Clips From The Upcoming Movie

Wonder Woman is an iconic comic character in her own right, but she wouldn’t be just as popular without the Wonder Woman TV series which starred Lynda Carter back in the 70s. ComicBook.com has put together a video of the original Wonder Woman intro including shots from the upcoming movie, and it’s fun as hell!

I actually looked into the original intro, and there’s a shot of Wonder Woman diving from a building that looks almost identical to the scene in the trailer where she dives into the sea. I don’t know how many homages director Patty Jenkins will keep into the film, but hopefully they get all the references just right. I would very much love to see Lynda Carter herself make a cameo appearance.

Hopefully Wonder Woman will bring the DC Cinematic Universe to its feet after the debacles that were Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. It’s no mystery that Marvel Studios is currently in the lead when it comes to superhero movies, but that doesn’t mean we should totally discard DC!

Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2.
