Watch: How the Lego Batman Movie Should Have Ended

It’s been a while since I’ve watched The Lego Batman Movie, but I remember having a great time in the cinema when it came out. HISHE on Youtube has come up with their take on how Lego Batman should have ended, and it features some great Lego stop-motion in lieu of their traditional animations.

I think part of what made Lego Batman so great was its fresh take on the characters and it’s weird ability to be very meta. It also doesn’t hurt that director Chris McKay has a deep background with animation, having worked on several episodes of Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken.

As of now, the next movie in line for the “Lego-verse” is the Lego Ninjago movie, and it’s set to come out this September. Here’s the synopsis:

Six young ninjas Lloyd, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane and Nya are tasked with defending their island home, called Ninjago. By night, they're gifted warriors, using their skills and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they're ordinary teens struggling against their greatest enemy: high school.

There are also plans to make a sequel to The Lego Movie, and it’s possible that Will Arnett’s Batman will be back in the mix. Interestingly enough, the original script is being rewritten by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the same guy who created Bojack Horseman, a show where Will Arnett also voices the lead.

The Lego Movie is set to come out in 2019, while you can catch The Lego Ninjago Movie in theaters Sept. 22.
