Watch: How Stranger Things Found Their Amazing Child Actors

No doubt there are some amazing child actors working in Hollywood today, and a whole handful of them can be found in Netflix’s fantastic Stranger Things series. Watch this video released by Netflix detailing how the production was able to get their hands on the amazing child cast.

You have to admit, casting director Carmen Cuba did such a great job when it came to assembling Mike’s gang in the show. Her job didn’t even stop with the child actors as well, she was also the one who wanted David Harbour to take on the role of Chief Jim Hopper in the show.

Going back to the kids though, I had no idea that Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin had found their start on Broadway; Caleb had starred in a production of The Lion King, and Matarazzo was a cute little kid in Les Miserables. Sadie Sink also acted in the Broadway version of Annie.

For now, Stranger Things 3 is still in production, but the bad thing is, we might not get it until summer of next year. Admittedly, the Duffer Brothers had pulled off an amazing season last year—save for that one episode where Eleven spins off in her own adventure with her lost sibling and her band of reject X-Men.

Stranger Things 3 is expected to hit Netflix summer of 2019.
