Video Explores The Colors Of Zack Snyder's Watchmen

No matter what you say about Zack Snyder’s Watchmen adaptation, it’s a fact that a lot of work went into this movie. Legendary Entertainmenthas released a video exploring the color palette used for Watchmen, and it gives an interesting look at the 2009 movie.

What I really like about Snyder’s movies is that he knows how to make colors pop. He did it for Watchmen, and he did the same thing with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I would like to say the same about Man of Steel, but that movie was just as gray and dull as a Marvel film.

Speaking of Marvel films, though they have been kicking DC’s ass in the box office, some fans have definitely noticed the lack of a proper color pallete, especially with Captain America: Civil War. The airport scene saw the coming together of several heroes, but no matter how colorful the costumes are, it still looked like there was a shade of gray overlaying everything.

Marvel has seemed to notice though, and GOTG Vol. 2 was chock-full of colors, and Thor: Ragnarok looks to be doing the same thing. Though Zack Snyder may have left the Justice League movie for now, hopefully Joss Whedon will be smart enough to keep the masterful visuals.

Justice League comes out Nov. 17.
