Bebop and Rocksteady are the new stars in the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows trailer. The two may have been featured in a previous trailer, but this time around, the two slow-witted minions are showing why their cinematic debut is worth the watch.
The new Out of the Shadows trailer kicks off with the teenage turtles watching a basketball match on a catwalk up above the court, but after what looks like a trailer that highlights our reptilian protagonists when Michelangelo drops a pizza he’s eating, Bebop and Rocksteady butts in and points out that this is their trailer now.
What follows next is a series of action scenes and explosions caused by the humanoid warthog and rhino, which I have to admit are pretty entertaining to watch. I think they could even be the best part of the movie.

In the movie, Bebop and Rocksteady start out as regular and simple-minded criminals, who are then recruited by Shredder henceforth turning them into their animal forms. Even though the duo doesn’t have much when it comes to brains, their brawns sure seem to be a good enough match for the Turtles.
We’ll see if they truly are when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows hits theaters next week, June 3.
