Can't wait to see Star Trek Beyond this July or that upcoming Star Trek TV series? If you nodded your head to that question, this feature-length fan film by director Tommy Kraft might help you satisfy your Star Trek cravings.
Since December of 2012, a crew of dedicated fans of Star Trek: Enterprise have been working on completing this film that pays tribute to a classic franchise. It's called Star Trek - Horizon, and here's the synopsis:
The Coalition of Planets, a young alliance of worlds led by Earth, is at war with the Romulan Empire. Desperate for a chance to gain the upper hand in the war, the Coalition forms an alliance with T'mar, a Romulan deserter, in the hopes that she can provide valuable intelligence on her former masters.

As much as I enjoy Star Trek, the dialogues and acting here made me cringe a bit. There are some nice visual effects, and for the given budget, it's pretty impressive. I just hope that this fan film won't get a lawsuit from Paramount like what happened to the other Star Trek fan film, Axanar.
