StevenUniverse has grown to be one of the best shows on Cartoon Network right now, and if you haven’t seen it yet, I highly suggest you check it out. With the series’ growing popularity, it was only a matter of time before Man at Arms on Youtube was going to make one of the show’s signature weapons: The sword of Rose Quartz.
Though I think they should have made the blade a lot more pink, I think the hilt looks absolutely lovely. The detail on it is just amazing, and the form of the guard looks very nice and sleek. You also have to love the detail on that rose at the end of the hilt.
The sword that was forged looks a lot smaller than in the show, but with Rose being an 8-foot-tall giant woman, this was probably the best length they could get for someone to wield it. Either way, it’s still some great craftsmanship.
For now, a lot of fans are probably frustrated having to wait for the irregular release of new episodes, but Rebecca Sugar has just built this amazing new world, and the show masterfully reveals things to the audience little by little while at the same time balancing good humor and heart.
The next episode in the series, Dewey Wins, is expected to come out this winter.
