Star Wars Droids Star in Quirky Friends Mash Up Video

The Star Wars droids have always been a source of comic relief in the Star Wars franchise, and many fans admit that their favorite characters often involve Star Wars snide, bumbling, sarcastic and whiney robots like R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8 and one of the most recent additions to the film franchise, Alan Tudyk’s salty K-2SO.

Playing around with Star Wars footage and the popular Friends themesong, these supporting droid characters get their own funny sit-com opening that highlights some of their different charm points and quirks in a new fan video by Darth Blender.

Titled, Droids, the fan video features some of the franchise’s most iconic droids – The prequel and original trilogy’s C-3PO and R2-D2,the sequel trilogy’s  BB-8, and the spinoff film Rogue One’s K-2SO. Check it out down here:

Decked with light background music and shots timed to fit the different stops and pauses, Darth Blender’s video sure does make a convincing opening. It definitely would be fun if Lucasfilm or some other studio picked up on the idea and made a Star Wars slice-of-life sitcom for fans.
