Star Wars Anime Fan Film Shows An Epic Space Battle From The Empire's Perspective


Prepare to be amazed! Even though this Star Wars anime fan short is non-canon, it's more spectacular than Star Wars: Rebels, more exciting than Pacific Rim, and more epic than anyGundam space battles I've ever seen.

TIE Fighter is a 7-minute anime masterpiece by Animator Paul Johnson (Youtuber OtaKing77077), and it features an epic space battle from the Empire pilots' perspective enhanced with brilliantly-directed 80's animation and Zakir Rahman's energetic music.

Johnson animated this on the weekends for the past four years, and he's finally finished the short. This anime makes you want to root for the bad guys. Watch this now: 

What if there was an Empire-focussed short Star Wars animation, drawn with the crazy detail and shading of classic 80s anime that's all but vanished from Japan nowadays? Well, I tried my best. Apologies in advance for not living up to Venus Wars standards.Drawn and animated by yours truly over 4 years' worth of weekends, with music by the living guitar solo Zak Rahman and sound design by up and coming audio technician Joseph Leyva. Fans of Lucasarts' seminal 1994 TIE Fighter game may notice a few familiar sights and sounds. That “incoming missile” noise gives me horrible flashbacks to this day...
