Sabretooth Referenced In Deleted Logan Scene

We’ve known for a while that Liev Schreiber was asked to come back as Victor Creed a.k.a. Sabertooth in Logan, but scheduling conflicts wouldn’t let him appear. There’s actually a deleted scene in the movie which references Sabertooth and has Logan talking about his half-brother.

Check it out:

The scene has one of Laura’s mutant friends holding Wolverine and Sabertooth figures to which he asks Logan if Sabertooth was also real. Logan then reveals that Sabertooth was real and that they were both members of a government program (Task Force X).

In the original planned Sabertooth cameo, Logan and Charles were supposed to come and meet Sabertooth asking for help. Compared to Logan, Victor would have been doing much better since he had no adamantium in his bones to tamper with his healing factor, so he would have been far healthier.

Though X-Men Origins: Wolverine gets a lot of flak, I thought Liev Schreiber’s Sabertooth was spot on casting. If I was being totally honest with myself, I even enjoyed Origins way better than the second Wolverine movie. Sure the former was campy and silly at times, but the latter was just boring as hell.

Blu-Ray and DVD for Logan comes out on May 23.
