Rogue One Gets Cool Fan-Made VHS Trailer Commercial

Though most fans would like to keep up with the times and stick to watching films on HD, others would love to see their favorite movies in older video recording formats like VHS. Movies during the 1970s recorded on VHS have a very different feel from the big blockbuster films we have today, and some just really enjoy the nostalgia of watching blurry video releases.

Star Wars YouTuber going by the name of Damien Kazan Filmmaker has just uploaded a Rogue One VHS trailer commercial giving the film the same blurry feel for nostalgic movie watchers to enjoy. Check it out down here:

The fan-made Rogue One VHS trailer does seem pretty legit – not only does it having the standard definition quality and tracking effect of the recording format,  it also follows the 4:3 aspect ratio that fit televisions way back before HD became the new standard of home entertainment. It’s also got that neat voice feature  that helps convince viewers to get a copy of the film. Though Rogue One will never see a VHS release, it’s pretty interesting what the film could have looked like if it did have one.

Rogue One is getting a Blu-Ray and DVD release on April 4, 2017.
