It looks like a teaser has already been leaked for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and it takes us back 'before the dark times, before the Empire.' We also got description for the trailer that was presented at Disney's annual shareholder meeting. While we can't share the trailer that was shown, you can check out what could be the teaser below.
This teaser could be attached to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it looks legit, but there's one thing that might make fans doubt it: its use of the word "Anthology" in the title. We know that the term for standalone Star Wars films had been changed to "A Star Wars Story" months ago.
There was also a leaked trailer that was recorded at Disney's annual shareholder meeting, and it begins in darkness, then shows the green landscape of a planet, untouched by the wars of the title.
It's followed by a blackout and sounds of people shouting frantically, before the titles appear on the screen.
The clip is narrated by an old male voice. Could it be Max Von Sydow's The Force Awakens character, Lor San Tekka?
In the video, he says: ‘For more than a thousand generations the Jedi knights were the guardians of peace and justice, in the old republic before the dark times… before the empire.’ Check out the full description via CBM:
Most of it was quick...a shot of a black stormtrooper, possibly called Death Troopers as previously reported and another shot of the same style of helmet and armor but all chrome, reminiscent of Captain Phasma from The Force Awakens, an image showed two AT-AT's that had a slightly different look with the door panel on the side of the body painted a slight lighter beige color. And a couple of cast photos were shown, one of Felicity and Diego Luna and another of Donnie Yen. The clip featured Felicity's character on what looked like the inside of a ship or shuttle and her arm up holding on to a hatch/ramp open behind her. I wish i could remember what she said as part of the sizzle but it all went by too fast. The new stormtroopers looked great.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released in theaters on Dec. 16, 2016.
